Nestled in the Valley of Bellevilles in Savoy – France, le Bettex is a typical Savoyard village that has benefited from tourist development without losing its soul.
Located at 1568m altitude, the village is crossed by the river Doron and overlooked by the mountain le Teurre which is famous for its off-piste itinerary.
From le Bettex village you enjoy a breathtaking view on the mountains of Menuires and Val Thorens.
A great advantage of the village is its location at the foot of the ski slopes of the 3 Valleys (600 km of ski slopes)
The 4-seater Bettex chairlift allows reaching directly the ski slopes of the 3 Valleys and the center of les Menuires ski resort in 7 minutes.
Indeed arrived at the top of the chairlift it is possible to reach easily the sector of the “Mont de la chambre”, or the other resorts of the 3 Valleys (Val Thorens, Meribel, Courchevel) or access to the area of “la Masse”.
The blue run Bettex allows even children to easily ski back to the village. As it is equipped with snow cannons it is skiable until the end of the winter season.
There are 2 ski rental shops in le Bettex in which one can rent skis, boots, and snowboards without taking the car.
You may be surprised to see the name of the village sometimes written Bettaix, sometimes Bettex!
It must be said that until 2018 the entrance sign and Out of the village had 2 different spellings! The choice was made in 2018 on Bettex!
Finally we are proud in le Bettex of our local biathlon champion – Vincent Jay – medalist at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games with a gold medal in sprint and a bronze medal in pursuit.
